North Longford post-office to close its doors for final time this month

A north Longford post office is to close its doors for the final time later this month.

An Post has confirmed that despite advertising for a new operator and exploring all avenues, it has been unable to find a new operator for the branch in Aughnacliffe.

It has confirmed that the long-established service in the village will cease operating on September 24th, and all customers will be transferred to Loch Gowna post office in County Cavan.
