The new manager of the Dean Crowe Theatre says he wants to 'put bums on seats' at the Athlone venue.
Monaghan man John McGlynn took over the role at the start of the year and is looking forward to the challenge ahead. Mr McGlynn, a former solicitor and married father of three, said the theatre is an appealing venue for national acts. He also has plans to introduce a comedy club element in the Dean Crowe bar among other innovations. Speaking to Shannonside News, he said the theatre's location makes it an ideal location for performers:
