A new housing survey released this morning shows rural homes are in demand.
Figures from the REA National Survey reveal homes in counties Longford and Roscommon were among those with the highest percentage increases on the past three months.
The data found the average cost of a home in Co. Roscommon is €282,500, while in Co. Longford, the average price is €228,000.
Prices increased by 1-point-8 per cent and 1-point-3 per cent respectively.
