Lands at the St Brigid's Hospital in Ballinasloe have been identified for a new ambulance base and enhanced primary care hub.
This month's meeting of the regional health forum west heard both will be retained and excluded from the wider hospital lands earmarked for sale this year.
They are both placed on the HSE's service priority list before passing through other steps.
