The new Cathaoirleach of Roscommon Municipal District says he'll be leading a number of important projects in the next twelve months. Fianna Fáil's Marty McDermott was chosen to succeed party colleague Paschal Fitzmaurice at a meeting this morning. He was proposed by Cllr Larry Brennan and seconded by Cllr Ruth Conboy. Cllr Brennan has been elected as Leas Cathaoirleach.
