The Minister for Rural and Community Development is visiting Longford today.
Dara Calleary will be visiting a newly-opened sensory playground in Longford Town this evening, and will also be stopping by Granard to officially reopen the tennis and basketball courts at the Higginstown Complex.
Construction is fully complete at 'The Sunflower Park' in Longford Town, and the sensory space has since been open for public use.

It was designed for young people with intellectual and disability impairments and is located on Park Road, on the former Greyhound Track site.
Longford senator Joe Flaherty says the Minister's visit will also give councillors an opportunity to pitch further plans for the grounds:
