Midlands judge nominated for Circuit Court presidency

The Government has nominated His Hon. Judge Keenan Johnson to become the next President of the Circuit Court.

The nomination was approved at today's Cabinet meeting, following the Judicial Appointments Commission process.

If appointed, Judge Johnson would succeed the Hon. Ms. Justice Patricia Ryan, whose term as President of the Circuit Court ends on July 12th.

A native of Ballymote in county Sligo, Judge Johnson has served on the Circuit Court since 2012 and has been assigned to the Midlands Circuit since 2014.
