It was confirmed this week that the voluntary committee members would not be involved next year.

The future of a popular Leitrim event is under threat after the current committee announced it was stepping down.

Carrick Carnival has taken place each summer in Carrick-on-Shannon since it was revived following Covid.

It was confirmed this week that the voluntary committee members would not be involved next year.

The search is now on for new volunteers to ensure the carnival takes place in 2027.
