A meeting of the trustees of the new Longford resource centre will take place next Monday. In January, Minister for Children Norma Foley confirmed that the town is one of ten locations set to gain such a facility.
Longford's FRC will be based at The Attic House on the Ballinalee Road, which the Minister visited last year. Local TD Micheál Carrigy paid tribute to all those involved:
