The second anniversary of the death of a much-loved Roscommon man, who died in a tragic accident, will be marked tonight.
A special Mass is taking place in Frenchpark.
50-year-old Pat McCrann ran a tyre business in Sheepwalk, Frenchpark, serving the community for decades.
He was working in a shed at his parents' farmyard, near his tyre centre, on July 18th 2024, when a tyre exploded and he died instantly.
Roscommon coroner Brian O'Connor said Pat was well known for being an obliging person, who went out of his way to help people.
For the first anniversary of his death last year, over 150 lorries took part in a truck run, in aid of the Frenchpark Church Refurbishment Fund.
The second anniversary of his death will be marked tonight with a Mass at 8 o'clock in that very church.
