Gardai in Boyle are continuing their investigations into an aggravated robbery on Friday evening when a man was threatened with a knife, and beaten.
A sum of cash and a number of personal items were taken during the attack which happened on the N4 near Drumharlow Lake and Carrick golf club.
According to Gardai the victim received non-life threatening injuries but is extremely traumatised by the ordeal.
It's believed that up to 3 people were invovled in the incident.
They would like to hear from any person who was walking or travelling on the
N4 between 5:30 and 6:30pm on Friday, in particular anyone who may have been hitchiking.
