A 36-year-old man, charged with a murder in Leitrim, is due to reappear in Carrick-on-Shannon District Court later this month.
The case came before Sligo District Court this morning, where it was described as "a complex matter".
Latvian Janis Balodis, 41, was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive at a home in Arderry, between Ballinamore and Carrigallen, on the night of June 11th.
Polish native Bartosz Cylka, with an address at Arderry, Corrawaleen, was charged with his murder last month.
The case came before Sligo District Court this morning.
Mr Cylka appeared via videolink and was represented by solicitor John Anderson and assisted by a Polish interpreter.
The court was told directions from the DPP are still awaited in the case.
Sergeant Derek Butler said it’s a ‘complex matter’ and a file is still being prepared in connection with it.
Judge Eiteáin Cunningham adjourned the case until the July 28th sitting of Carrick-on-Shannon District Court, when the accused is again to appear by videolink.
She remanded Mr Cylka in continuing custody until then.
