Longford councillor demands state support for fire victims after arsonist jailed

Cllr Peggy Nolan was speaking after 57-year-old Guo Zhong Chen, of Belvedere Terrace, Mullingar, was sentenced to nine years in prison for starting the fire on July 28th, 2024.

A Longford councillor says state support should be provided to victims of the Grafton Court arson attack.

€3.5 million worth of damage was caused by the blaze, with 19 businesses damaged.
