An elderly man has been airlifted to hospital after a traffic accident on Castle Street in Roscommon town this afternoon.
It’s understood the man was travelling in the car with his wife when the car hit a wall shortly after lunchtime today.
The man was taken to hospital for assessment and treatment.

It’s understood no one else was injured.
There was traffic disruption for a time but the road has since re-opened.
