A local councillor is calling for a commemorative plaque to honour three Republican volunteers who were imprisoned in Peterhead Prison in the 1920s.
Cllr Garry Murtagh raised a motion at this month's meeting of Longford County Council to remember Joseph Lee, Frank Reilly and William Reilly.
The three Longford men were imprisoned at the notorious Scottish facility between 1922 and 1926.
They endured harsh conditions, including regular beatings.
