HSE Chief says response to meat plant Covid outbreaks was sufficient

The head of the HSE has denied that they were too slow to react to an outbreak of Covid-19 in meat factories.

The Minster for health is being called on to publish in full contact tracing for people who were working in meta factories and tested positive for the virus.

1,000 people, in 20 meat plants across the country, have tested positive for the virus so far since the pandemic began,.

It's understood that a large number of meat factory employees in this region tested positive for Coronavirus last month - with the government under pressure to clarify the figures announced by Simon Harris in the Dail last week

Paul Reid feels that the HSE's response to the outbreaks in many setting, including meat factories, was comprehensive.
