The publication of the tender for works at Ballaghaderreen Library has been welcomed by a local TD. It was announced earlier in the year that the library will not reopen until late 2024 with a temporary library to be opened until the works have been finished.
Roscommon-Galway TD Claire Kerrane confirmed that the temporary Library is due to open up near SuperValu early in 2024. Deputy Kerrane also confirmed that the contractor will start work by March 2024:
