Covid levels in local hospitals have doubled in the last month according to new figures from the HSE.
121 people are currently in hospitals across the Shannonside region with confirmed cases of Covid-19, compared to 58 this day last month.
The number of people in local hospitals receiving treatment for Covid-19 or who have been diagnosed with the virus incidentally has risen significantly.
Patient levels in UHG have doubled in the last month with 50 people with the virus undergoing treatment compared to 21 last month.
Sligo University Hospital has 31 people in their covid ward today compared to 11 in June.
In the Midlands, Mullingar Regional Hospital saw a major jump in covid admissions with 15 on-site today compared to just 2 last month.
While Tullamore Hospital is dealing with 14 positive cases, up 5 on this time last month.
Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is the only local hospital reporting a reduction in covid patients this month, with 11 on-site as of today in comparison to last month's figure of 15.
