Local groups urged to make voices heard on Suck Valley Way

The conference will discuss regeneration and tourism potential among other issues.

A two day conference taking place in Roscommon next week on the Suck Valley Way is being opened up to some individuals or local groups who want to attend.

The event is aimed at highlighting the opportunities for development along the route of the river across Roscommon and Galway.

The agenda will involve discussions about regeneration, unlocking tourism potential, and rural sustainability.

Speakers will include Paddy Mathews from Irelands Hidden heartlands, and Jarlath o' Dwyer from Clare Eco-Tourism.

Roscommon Councillor Tony Waldron who's Chair of the Suck Valley Way group says councillors from across the country are being invited to the event, but they will also try to facilitate local people who've been instrumental in helping develop the way so far:
