Local Government Minister confident state will solve housing crisis

The Minister for Local Government is confident that the state will be able to significantly upscale how many houses it builds every year

Longford-Westmeath TD Peter Burke is in Longford today to cut the ribbon on almost 30 new social homes in Edgeworthstown, Legan and Kenagh.

This week the ESRI suggested that the government needed to at least double its spending on housing in order to meet demand.
