A Longford GP is urging people to stop taking medical advice from social media.

Dr Paul Trueick says sites like Facebook and Twitter are full of misinformation when it comes to Covid-19 and the vaccines.

Social Media sites have been criticised by many country's around the world for their hosting of of dangerous or misleading medical advice during the pandemic.

While many such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter have put warnings and filters in place to limit its spread, experts are warning there is still a strong presence of inaccurate information online.

Dr Trueick is urging people across the region to listen to the experts when it comes to Covid-19:
