The development proposed by Roscommon GAA would see 3 new full-size grass pitches with 15 & 20 metre high floodlighting, 2 new AstroTurf pitches and warm up areas and a seated spectator terrace.

Roscommon County Councillors are set to discuss the proposed new Dermot Earley Centre of Excellence later today. The development proposed by Roscommon GAA would see 3 new full-size grass pitches with 15 & 20 metre high floodlighting, 2 new AstroTurf pitches and warm up areas and a seated spectator terrace. The development also includes a ball wall area, a perimeter walking/running track, a new amenity building incorporating offices, canteen, gym & dressing rooms along with car, bicycle and EV parking.

The proposed centre of excellence would be built at the Racecourse Road, Ballyboughan, Roscommon. The council meeting is due to take place from 3.30pm today, where local representatives will discuss the plans before voting on the issue.
