Just 188 people in the Shannonside region have closed their Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week.
It's part of a national figure of almost 7 thousand people returning to work over the last 7 days.
Roscommon accounted for the largest amount of these, with 94 closing their payments leaving 2,411 people still claiming the support.

In Leitrim, 57 people left the register, with 1,229 people on the payment.
Meanwhile, 1,431 people remain on the PUP in Longford following 37 people closing their claim this week.
65.4 million euro in PUP weekly payments paid are being paid into bank accounts this week across the country.
