Leitrim artist welcomes new income pilot scheme

People working in the arts will soon be eligible for a weekly payment of 325 euro under plans agreed by Government.

Around 2 thousand artists will be eligible and applications for the pilot scheme open next week.

Leitrim artist Sinead Guckian is welcoming the news and hopes eligibility will be broad and on a lottery basis.
