Roscommon Racecourse is gearing up for its biggest fixture of the year today, with Ladies Day the main attraction. The first race is off at 4.30pm but there will also be high stakes when it comes to fashion with €1,200 on offer for the best dressed lady. Ballinlough businesswoman Lorren Kelly is the special guest judge this year and there will also be €100 up for grabs for nine runners-up.
Lorren is the owner of The One I Love bridal boutique in Ballinlough, County Roscommon. Yvonne Donohue is on the Roscommon Racecourse Committee. She says it promises to be a wonderful occasion:
