Gardai in west Roscommon are urging the public to be vigilant following an incident in which two men were pretending to be members of An Garda Siochana.
The incident occurred in Ballaghaderreen yesterday afternoon when a man wearing an old garda coat and second man in a high vis jacket were seen in the Dalton Terrace area at around 4:30pm.
An investigation is now underway and Gardai are advising not to allow people into the house if you are any way uncomfortable and lock your back door before answering the front door if you're not expecting anyone.
