Investigations into the train tragedy in Sligo must be completed as quickly as possible according to local TD Marc MacSharry.
Jessica McLoughlin, who was in her 40s, was killed while on the tracks near Ballisodore on Wednesday.
She was with her niece, who suffered broken bones.
Gardaí are asking for anyone who was on the Dublin to Sligo train on the day of the incident to contact them.
Sligo Leitrim TD Marc MacSharry says the tragedy has shook the country:
'Everybody is shocked, the entire community in Sligo and indeed the people of Ireland are shocked when such a tragedy occurs.
It's a terrible loss to the community and obviously our sympathies are with the family of Jessica, her four children and the extended family and of course her niece Rebecca who we wish well as she recovers at Sligo University Hospital.'
