Hopes new Agriculture Minister will take action to improve low income of western farmers

There's a broad welcome from farmers in the west about the appointment of Dara Calleary.

Chairperson of Roscommon IFA Jim O' Connor says he should be well aware of the low incomes of farmers in the region.

Mr O' Connor is hoping he takes action to improve their situation.
