Historic building in Longford Town to become new home of family-run business

Longford County Council has granted planning permission for the change of use of the landmark building, which used to be the ticket office for the White Star Line, the company that owned the Titanic.

A historic building in Longford Town will be the new home of a local family-run business.
Cassidy's Blinds, which is based in Stonepark, will be relocating to the Corner House on Dublin Street.

Longford County Council has granted planning permission for the change of use of the landmark building, which used to be the ticket office for the White Star Line, the company that owned the Titanic.
It also served as a pub most recently, but has been closed for over a year.
Shane Cassidy from Cassidy's Blinds says he is delighted to be moving into the building:
