Lus na Greine is Granard is set to move to a new premises later this year.

The Family Resource Centre has signed a lease arrangement with Longford County Council to move into the former Youthreach building in the town.

It's understood the organisation, which provides multiple services in the north Longford area, has agreed a six-figure deal with the local authority for the lease of the premises which was formerly owned by the family of the late singer Larry Cunningham.

Works to install a lift and make the new premises wheelchair accessible will be required before the transfer of services with LEADER funding obtained by the organisation expected to cover some of the refurbishment costs
