Gardaí urge farmers to be vigilant after Ballygar theft incident

A number of power tools were stolen from a farmyard sometime between 12 O'Clock Thursday and 12 O'Clock Sunday and Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact Ballygar Garda Station on 090 6624512

Gardai in East Galway are urging farmers to be vigilant following the theft of items from a farm yard in recent days.

The incident occurred in the Ballygar area sometime between 12 O'clock on Thursday and 12 O'clock on Sunday.

A number of power tools including an ECHO hedgecutter petrol, A STIHL chainsaw to the value of almost 1,000 euro was taken along with a roll of sheep wire.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Ballygar Garda Station on 090 6624512.

Meanwhile investigations are continuing into a burglary on Friday evening last in the Castlecoote area.

Three males were involved in the incident sometime between 6 to 7:30pm on the Castlecoote to Athleague road
