Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm in Ballinasloe last Friday. The incident occurred in the Garbally Oaks area of the town between the hours of 3am and 4am. Anyone who may have mobile phone or dash cam footage is asked to make this available to Gardaí by contacting Ballinasloe Garda Station.
Meanwhile, there has still been no arrests made following a burglary of a jewellery shop in Athlone at the end of November. Around €50,000 worth of Jewellery was taken from a store in the Golden Island area of Athlone. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Athlone Garda Station or the Garda Confidential line. Gardaí say investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
