Funding cuts to hit local adult education services

The government previously introduced ESOL funding to support Ukrainian refugees who arrived after Russia's invasion.

Funding cuts to English language programmes are set to hit adult education services locally.

The government previously introduced ESOL funding to support Ukrainian refugees who arrived after Russia's invasion.

However, that funding has been removed with Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board telling 25 teachers they will lose their jobs as roughly 150 classes are cancelled.
