Four artists/groups chosen for final of Local Music Hero competition

The final 4 artists/groups have been announced  on Tuesday's Afternoon Show with Jonny O’Keefe for this year’s Local Music Hero which will form part of Irish Music Month in March on Shannonside Northern Sound.

Over 120 submissions were received in total for the competition.

The 4 acts are:

• Laura Jo (Longford)
• Castle Arcade (Greenan’s Cross Monaghan)
• Post Party (Monaghan)
• The Highstool Prophets (Cavan)

Over the next few weeks, you will hear from the artists and their songs.

On March 15 one act will be chosen to represent Shannonside Northern Sound to be in with a chance of winning cash and prizes to the value of €10,000 with thanks to a partnership between Hot Press, the IBI and supported by the BAI Sound & Vision Fund.
