A total of forty homes in County Roscommon received significant energy upgrading works through a major retrofitting programme in the last 12 months.
The Midlands Retrofit Programme was established as a pilot programme to provide learning on the move to B2/Cost Optimal retrofitting as part of Just Transition plans for the Shannonside region.
It delivered 146 retrofit homes in 2021 and will finish at the end of this year.

Prior to the works, 13 homes in Roscommon were rated as E1, and 11 as E2.
Following the completion of the programme, four homes were rated as A3, seven as B1 and a total of 29 homes were rated as B2.
