Cllr Laurence Fallon said this week he had no regrets with how the situation at Lough Funshinagh was handled by Roscommon County Council. Cllr Fallon, who was Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council at the time, said the successful legal challenge by Friends of the Irish Environment was regrettable but a pipe remained the only solution.
Speaking to Shannonside News this week, he said works to install the pipe were already '60 per cent complete' and this would be beneficial going forward:
