More than €40,000 cash seized as part of ongoing CAB operation in Longford

Gardaí in Longford  seized cash in excess of €40,000 early on Saturday morning as a result of information received regarding suspected money laundering.

The operation was part of targeting persons of interest in an ongoing Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) investigation.

The search was carried out at a home in Longford in the early hours of Saturday morning after a search warrant was obtained.

The search was conducted by members from Longford District and assisted by Armed Support Unit

One man was present during the course of the search.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
