There are calls for a former church in south Leitrim to be turned into a tourist facility.

The building in Drumcong was developed 50 years ago, but is now vacant and in poor condition.

It will be auctioned on Thursday, with a guide price of 175,000 euro.

The auctioneers say it could be used for several purposes - including a hotel, hostel or outdoor activity centre.
