The Midland Motor Club has announced the cancellation of the forestry rally near Drumshanbo planned for the 22nd of this month.
A statement published on Facebook says that due to circumstances beyond the club's control and despite tireless work from colleagues in Coillte, the club has lost access and use of up to a third of the rally mileage.
The statement says the decision was not taken lightly so close to the event, and all other possible options , including postponing to a later date, were looked at.

The club is also thanking all the businesses of Drumshanbo and surrounding areas that had come on board to support and sponsor the event, along with the almost 80 competitors who had entered and paid to take part in the event.
