The appointment of a contractor for the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramogue project has been welcomed locally.
Roscommon County Council has confirmed that Wills Brothers Ltd, Foxford, have been awarded the contract for the €450 million project.
The duration of the contract is four years and the works are expected to be substantially completed by October 2027.

The initial contract was cancelled by Roscommon County Council after Roadbridge went into receivership last year.
