Emergency Departments are busy across the region.

The Emergency Department at Sligo University Hospital is the third busiest ED in the country today.

Figures from today's trolley watch bed survey show 36 patients at the facility waiting on trolleys or elsewhere in the hospital.

UHG is reporting 18 people on trolleys, while Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is busy with 17 patients waiting on a bed.

The Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar has reported overcrowding in it's Emergency department over the last number of days, with 11 patients waiting today.

Our Lady's Hospital in Drogheda and Tullamore Hospital are dealing with 7 and 4 people respectively waiting on beds, while Cavan General Hospital has none.
