The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be performed by the Taoiseach and the Garda Band will also perform on the day.

A total of 89 gardai who were killed in the line of duty, or who gave their lives in the service of the state, will be honoured in Dubhlinn Gardens in Dublin Castle at 12 noon tomorrow.

The event is due to get underway at 1pm on the 2nd of June.

The run will feature a 5k, 10k and half marathon.

Detective Garda Colm Horkan was shot and killed by Stephen Silver on the 17th of June 2020.
