Children are being encouraged to engage with key heritage sites throughout County Roscommon with the help of ''Rossie'' the Heritage Duck.
Rossie was the brainchild of artist Catherine Fanning and writer Maura Gilligan who were successful in a call out by Roscommon County Council for the Creative Roscommon Young Visitor Project.
A resource pack has been prepared as Rossie takes a tour of Roscommon Castle, Roscommon Abbey, Lough Key, Boyle Abbey, Elphin Windmill and Tulsk Abbey.

The initiative is a collaboration between the tourism, arts and heritage departments in the County Council.
