The Chairman of the HSE Mid-Leinster Forum says he is very concerned at a potential major spike of cases of Covid-9 in county Longford over the weekend.
11 confirmed cases of the virus were confirmed in the county during yesterday's briefing from the health Protection Surveillance Committee, but it's feared that outbreaks at some business premises
Fine Gael councillor Paraic Brady says he's appealing to everyone to be on alert and do their best to keep to all of the regulations relating to Covid.
He says with cases escalating around the country, the virus seems to be taking hold and Longford could see bad news over the next few days.
