Castlerea parish priest describes Cork crash victim as "very spiritual man"

The terrible tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening just outside Cork city.

The parish of Castlerea in Roscommon is remembering Fr Con Cronin, who died tragically in the accident in Monkstown Cork on Tuesday.

The 72-year-old died when Bus Éireann driver Mark Wills driver suffered a suspected fatal heart attack, lost control of his bus, struck and fatally injured him.

Fr Cronin served in the parish of Castlerea for a period of time in 1999.

Local parish priest Father John McManus, who was a few years behind Father Con when training with St Patrick's Missionary Society in Kiltegan says he is still thought of very highly:
