Carrick-on-Shannon is hoping to be crowned Ireland's friendliest place in Ireland.
It has been shortlisted in the top five areas by award organisers Retail Excellence.
They are designed to drive standards of retail operations and town centres throughout the country.

Also going for the top prize are Monaghan town, Ashbourne, Moynalty and Ennis.
Public voting closed earlier this week and the winners will be announced at a special event at the Galmont Hotel in Galway on November 12th.
Duncan Graham from Retail Excellence says despite the pandemic, retailers have maintained excellent customer service.
