A businessman has pleaded guilty to two charges in connection with the death of a Leitrim man in a landslide on the Sligo-Roscommon border in December 2016.
Patrick McCaffrey, of Rossinver, Co Leitrim, died following an incident at the Derrysallagh wind farm in Glen, County Sligo.
According to the Sligo Champion, at this week’s sitting of Sligo Circuit Court, Denis Moriarty, of The Kerries Limited, which is based in Tralee County Kerry, pleaded guilty to two charges under the Safety and Welfare at Work Act.

It’s understood he is the company director of the firm that was building the wind farm.
The case was adjourned until October for sentencing.
