The items stolen include a DeWalt drill and drill bits, a Makita drill and a DeWalt angle grinder.

The incident is believed to have happened sometime between 10am on Friday and 5.30pm on Saturday last.

A man in his late teens is appearing at Mullingar District Court today charged in connection with the incident.

Cash and jewellery were stolen from the home.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone in the area who witnessed anything suspicious or who has home CCTV footage, to contact them at Longford Garda Station.

Farmers are being urged to store equipment in secure areas, use wheel locks and invest in an alarms where possible.

24 chrome book laptops and a number of cameras were taken from the house.

Gardaí have not yet made an arrest but are continuing the investigation.
