Ballaghaderreen house fire victim to be laid to rest on Friday

The funeral details for a woman who died in a house fire in west Roscommon earlier this week have been confirmed.

Vivien Doohan died following a blaze at her home in Priory Park after a blaze broke out at around 9pm on Sunday night.

A man who tried to assist in removing her from the house was treated for smoke inhalation following the incident. The widowed mother of one is reposing at a funeral home in Ballaghaderreen on Thursday evening with her funeral mass to take place in St. Aidan's Church, Monasteraden at 11am on Friday morning prior to burial in the local cemetery.
