The 53-year-old will stand in the Boyle Municipal District, which also includes Ballaghaderreen and Strokestown.

Ballaghaderreen community activist Micheál Frain has revealed he is running in the local elections as an Independent candidate.
The 53-year-old will stand in the Boyle Municipal District, which also includes Ballaghaderreen and Strokestown.

It will be his third time running in the local elections, as he unsuccessfully stood for Fine Gael in 2009 and Labour in 2014.
Mr Frain, who is the chairman of Roscommon Leader Partnership, says he is hoping to make it third time lucky in June.
